Silken Veil

The performance Silken Veil by S. Sarantaki is a vehicle that moves through a golden landscape, between a gorge and volcano's birth, revealing poetic aspects of two bodies. It is a parable for the physique that tries to transcend itself from current limitations of its possibilities. In this journey, fragmented body stories are formed and move through elliptic cycles of time between visible and invisible terrains, as an attempt to communicate. Two bodies, Two performers emerge and dissolve in their surrounding matter with a question: what is it that lasts through time? Together we travel through these golden landscapes that deal with hidden dreams, unexpected shifts and buried wishes that has lived, lives and will live through the matter of the skin.
